I love hummus. It’s very quick and easy to make and doesn’t require many ingredients. It can be used as a healthy dip for vegetables and tortilla chips or as a spread in sandwiches and wraps. This is how I make it, but feel free to use more or less of any ingredient, it has to be right for YOU : )
1 can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
4 garlic cloves
1/4 cup (0,6 dl) of the liquid from the chickpeas
1 tsp tahini paste
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp ground coriander
A little Ground pepper
(You can use olive oil, paprika, parsley, sesame seeds to decorate)
Process all ingredients but garbanzo beans until well processed. Add the garbanzo beans and process until almost the desired consistency. Taste for salt, pepper and lemon and process until done. Transfer to a dish, decorate and serve right away or chilled.
If you like your hummus very creamy you can add a little more fluid and process it more.
